Dancing By Firelight

The storm outside echoes the heart within.
Your breast trembles with the night's gentle breath,
And soft ground stares up. wordless affection.
My vacant eyes know your dancing vision
And still recall the phantom ghosts of night.
Amongst our vacant selves, both of us know,
You have your one constant in life, This dance!
And last, this woman draws the night in,
Enfolding us in darkness, her secret.
Phantom thought, antiquated beauty's breath
Flickers at your feet while you draw fire in.
Just ghosts, my thoughts, of beauty's last exit,
Divided by the thunder and the flash,
Still dancing you and she act out a name,
The union of the darkness and the flame.
