Two time lover

At best I could resist you with a nod,
A turn of the cheek, and when there's music.
I'd duck my head and shuffle to the beat,
We'd touch to say that we were here tonight.
But we'll both fade before tomorw comes.
I'll dance though I've got promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep. Let's go!
I told her I worked late in the studio.
This much was true but then you were there.
I'd mark the pale white canvas with my thoughts
Of you and then I'd want to hide my love
In twisted lines and crypitic shaded verse.
This double love is difficult to keep
With two to please, I never get my sleep.
