Taken back in the eighties, this photo reflects a more innocent time. the occaision may have been Allens birthday and the image captured late in the afternoon, close to sunset. The original print had a pinkish tone that was most likely a colorful sunset. i removed the odd coloration in my effort to clarify the picture.

ReplyDeleteI think you are one who can count the blessings of being in the right place at the right time. Allen gave so much to so many, though he had little in terms of material things, his being was there for all who noticed. I think those who knew him may also be empowered with that same unique humility, that no matter how the cards are falling, there is always something to be salvaged, some way to turn a "reverse" into a learning experience. May we all remain in contact with the power of that understanding, live by it, give it away, silently uplift those less fortunate than ourselves, however unfortunate we think our own fate is........
