my concern is that the Rules and agreements which make up Our social contract have failed.

There has been widespread criticism from US politicians that once the Pentagon knew the scale of the abuse - and in particular that it was depicted in graphic photos which would be broadcast - it did not do more to inform Congressional committees.

I understand that there is a need for damage control and that our troops may suffer similar degradations if captured, given the impact the photo's have had world wide. I do not believe that we citizens should tolerate this kind of secrecy. We are also under attack from our own government for sPeaking out. Our Government has Privatized the military operations which could be criticized. No one wishes to account for their actions. The War Machine is out of control.
Not hat Kerry is any kind of solution. lets take his campaign funds and Impeach Bush in the second term. Are you listening Mr. Gore, Mr. Nader?
