art's sake

Last friday, the eleventh of july, The Art Center held their annual members' show. Also on exhibit were some unusual weavings by Monica Naugles. Peggy Galaher, who also works in jewelery, won the best of show award for a hand made book titled vanishing species. I helped hang the show, touched up the walls and set up an installation for PARC. On the whole, The art looked better with all the people there, reminding me again that people are what art is about, (i need reminding.) Introvert that i am, i tend to look into the exhibited work rather than the sea of faces in attendance. While the show was going up i hardly noticed the work 'though i painted around and straightened nearly every piece.
