It rained friday. I parked at the dali museum because the visibility was so low; across from the Marina. I used to work at the childrens museum just to my soth west. The rain is down some. Great Explorations left some years ago, to move down to the pier. Funny that I still feel a commitment to the place and all the ideology.
The car is slightly stuffy and warm. The rain keeps on at a gentle steady pace. A bicyclist rides up to the marina wiith full paniers of food and water.
For a while I watch as people drive up th the parking lot nex to the dai, drive areound the loop and see that all spot are filled, then come over here to the mud lot where they have to cross the street with an ombrella or something. I try to sketch the forest of masts at the marina, drew profiles of a couple in the rain and scketched some sea birds.
After that I went to northshore park and drew the horizon with a boat and more seabirds.
There were too many people tohang artoung there long. a red pickup kept circling by.
from there I wert to a parking lot o 22nd avenue and fourth street. There used to be a weekly paper out of there called the Advertiser. When I first pulled up, a fattish man stepped out. He looked a lot like Eli Jenkins. The building looked much classier than when I worked there. There were big black tinted windows around the door. The sign in front says JMC center and lists some real estate and dental firms. Heading up twenty second I passed crescent lake park where I used to sit and play the flute when I went on break from the news paper. Some one took my picture for the St Pete Times once and another time a guy robbed the store while i was getting my soda. I never saw a thing.
