Study uses new pancreatic-cancer method

: "WASHINGTON, Dec. 7 (UPI) -- A new 'reverse' pancreatic-cancer therapy largely reduces the size of tumors and lowers the risk of recurrence.

Fifty percent of 24 patients in a study at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H., responded to the new treatment, which the researchers said is one of the highest response rates ever seen with pancreatic cancer.

Results of the study were published this week in the December issue of the Annals of Surgical Oncology"

In the last two years, London-based Granada Media (a multibillion-dollar entertainment and news conglomerate) has sold over six hundred thousand DVDs and videotapes of THE LAST UNICORN. They've also made cable broadcast deals for it in several different countries, and they sold the live action remake rights for a quarter of a million dollars.

The film is based on Peter S. Beagle's famous book. He also wrote the screenplay. The film is as good as it is because he put everything he had into it.

And you know what? Granada Media refuses to pay Peter what they owe him. They've made millions on his creativity. They owe him hundreds of thousands of dollars. But they won’t pay up.

Last year, I was upset by the results of the election and the high likely hood that it was tampered with.
There is still a contingent of people who would like to see some reform in the dominance that Diebold and E.S.and S. have over the electronic voting industry.

Raven

Called, “Raven Steals the Sun.”
A creation myth she told me.
Anthropologists make big things
And write books about broken pots.
Later I heard that Raven traded
The fire for some fish and she
Taught people how to smoke
The fish and cook things.
She gave Eagle some of the fire
To put in the sky
So they could see
what they were doing.
