"Matthew Shepard (December 1, 1976 – October 12, 1998) was an American university student who was murdered. Shepard, a student at the University of Wyoming, was robbed and attacked by two men near Laramie, Wyoming on the night of October 6–October 7. Shepard died from his wounds several days later. His killers are both currently serving life sentences in prison. Some have argued Shepard was attacked because of his homosexuality. However, the perpetrators and their families state that the motive was simple robbery and that Shepard's sexuality had nothing to do with the attack"

Peter S. Beagle

I read something on Boing Boing about writer Peter S. Beagle that concened and saddened me.
Apparently the Author has not been well compensated for his work and can’t afford a legal recourse. He has an elderly mother to care for and is quite desperate. Conlan Press is handling his work now and they have a page up about it. They are trying to raise money and get some letters of complaint written to the film distributors.
I should point out that you wont be helping him out by buting a DVD of "The Last Unicorn." Grenada is the distributor that claims that they owe him nothing.
