Sebago Associates, Inc., undertook a variety of preliminary analyses on the Florida Vote in
the 2000 Presidential Election in the days immediately following November 7th. The
following three notes suggest that irregularities existed in the Palm Beach County vote, and
that such irregularities were likely caused by a confusing "butterfly" ballot.

Fabled by the daughters of memory. And yet it was in some way if not as memory fabled it. A phrase then if impatience, thud blakes wings of excess. I hear the ruin of all space, shattered glass and topping masonry, and time one livid final flame. What's left us then?

Gen H. celbrates her birthday today. we all went over to see he yesterday. Masha and Peter went in the van, but since they wanted to be timely with her I followed after, in my own car. For a whole variety of reasons, i took the longest way there.
I forgot to ask how old she is. I wonder what it would be like if we didn't use calender dates to measure age. Some people would stay the same age for a long time. Gen was nice. She usually is. I had a glass flower for her that came from Pandi's Thai import store and a card put together on the Picture It! the program crashed three times be fore i got it together. It seems that the "minimal install" left some crucial things out.
Before I left i thought about scanning a drawing of peter playing guitar which I did years ago, then i went through an envelope of old photos mostly of allen's birthday party peter made goofy faces in those shots so, i skipped it, i was late any way.
On the way i had some difficulties as i mentioned then i arrived at the restaurant, (purely by chance it seemed) at exactly the time the movie was about to start. the movie was about thirty minutes into it when i found a parking spot half a mile from the theater.
While i waited i watched the people I assumed that the movie was not that long. After a while i sort of adopted a parade rest. then the manager noticed me and asked the sheriff to check me out. I'd noticed him inside but he popped out from some surprise door moments after the manager had scooted by with a suspisious glint in his eye. the sheirff/ security asked wha iwas about and said i could wait inside. Apparently the most suspicious thing was that i was standing out side instead of in the air conditioned lobby. standing inside wasn't better security gut kept lookig atme a n then finally he came walking towards me, i thought he was going to talk to me again and ask me to move back outside then it looked like he might hit me but it was all about that time when Brinks comes to AMC.
he just walk ed out and was worried that I provided him with a potential obstacle.

I spotted Professor Will's Millenium punch script.
Caz Frost wrote this interesting article on Punch and Judy from a feminist perspectve. In her version punch has to watch the baby because it's her turn to go to the pub, and after he makes the baby into sausages, she promises to use the insurance money for a vacation for herself.
Other writers question whether political correctness will have any real impact on the nature of Punch and Judy shows which are little different than the victorian ones. Probably this is because one person does the whole show and the puppets are obviously extentions of the Professor.

What seems in fact to be and is differ
By subtle articles.....
If I could solve the ills of Palestine.
The lessons of the sand box should suffice.
Thou shall not throw, kick nor shove thy brother.
Dig too deep the root you'll undermine.
Let no man crowd a small man in your sight.
And all injustice done is done to my lord.

It rained friday. I parked at the dali museum because the visibility was so low; across from the Marina. I used to work at the childrens museum just to my soth west. The rain is down some. Great Explorations left some years ago, to move down to the pier. Funny that I still feel a commitment to the place and all the ideology.
The car is slightly stuffy and warm. The rain keeps on at a gentle steady pace. A bicyclist rides up to the marina wiith full paniers of food and water.
For a while I watch as people drive up th the parking lot nex to the dai, drive areound the loop and see that all spot are filled, then come over here to the mud lot where they have to cross the street with an ombrella or something. I try to sketch the forest of masts at the marina, drew profiles of a couple in the rain and scketched some sea birds.
After that I went to northshore park and drew the horizon with a boat and more seabirds.
There were too many people tohang artoung there long. a red pickup kept circling by.
from there I wert to a parking lot o 22nd avenue and fourth street. There used to be a weekly paper out of there called the Advertiser. When I first pulled up, a fattish man stepped out. He looked a lot like Eli Jenkins. The building looked much classier than when I worked there. There were big black tinted windows around the door. The sign in front says JMC center and lists some real estate and dental firms. Heading up twenty second I passed crescent lake park where I used to sit and play the flute when I went on break from the news paper. Some one took my picture for the St Pete Times once and another time a guy robbed the store while i was getting my soda. I never saw a thing.

Today Is Denny's birth-day Last night he stayed over a while and we ate some sirloin, broccoli and cous-cous/ escarole soup (marinated steamed and from a can.) He said that he didn't care to make a big deal of birth days.
We looked at the budding cerus flowers before he left. They were already opening even before sunset. Ernie next door looked too and then showed us his spectacular show room garden. his wife is an amazing horticulturist.
I should talk to her. But not Covet. She is fine. The man married well, and their three daughters are excellent people.

I should remember that people expect you to do the things they see you do. My case in point is the "Casio Phone Mate"
which we have used for a couple of years. Today the radio part doesn't work. The phone seems fine; the answering machine seems fine, but the phone,) which has a little window for data,) doesn't connect. It scans for an avaiable channel and then quits because it doesn't find one.
Once upon a time, I fixed a problem with the phone. This unit sees lots of constant use and it used to sit as a table unit. I hung it up on the wall because Masha complained that it didn't always charge, we also replaced the battery. later after it had dropped a few times i disassembled the hand set and re-established the connections by accident. (I actually broke a tiny plastic support for one of the cards which caused som feed back... it made the earphone more resonant and the unit would feed back audio.whatz frustrating is that Itz broke and folks expect I'll fix it at 11:30PM. I recomend replacement.

Andrew visited to day arond three. He brought several water ballons, Fake money made of cardboard and a book about bunnies that he said were cute. While we were sitting some of the kids down the block passed on bicycles and andrew said "shut up dog," in alow voice. I asked him where he had heard it and he said thats what they said to him.
After that we packed a present for Denny using a tiny packing crate. Andrew put seven peppers in a bag one small fake dollar and two water ballons. The other water balloon had a face drawn on it and one of them got popped. We made a card with the wrapping paper and i remembered to complement him on a good job.
Later I gave him a styrofoam glider and we put it together with some glue before Denny and Masha came home.
Mash announced that she had talked to Tom T. and Cherokee made the Honor role.
Andrew asked If I hated Him Because I some times asked him to go away. I'm going to have to think about talking to his foster mom and maybe his birth parents. It seems he has a twelve year old sister and a four year old brother who stay with the parents and a nine year old foster sister whom he says is mean to him. he worried that she might break the airplane, so we got a string to hang it with.
